caption contest, Barack Obama frustrated during meeting

The news has been filled lately with discussions on Congress having to raise the debt ceiling because apparently they’ve already spent money that was allocated to things like Social Security and Medicare.  (Don’t get me started on that!)  Anyway, occasionally I post a caption contest that opens the door to political humor, satire, and parody, to look at such things from a lighter side, and this is another of those times.

In this photo, President Barack Obama is sitting around an executive-style table with a number of other well-dressed people (probably politicians), and Obama looks frustrated.  I don’t know what’s really going on, so just make up something.  Feel free to rant about politics, but please phrase your rant in the form of humor.  And keep it civil and clean.

caption contest, Barack Obama looking under desk

I can’t let another week get started without a caption contest…   This week’s photo features President Barack Obama looking under his desk in the Oval Office while a lady looks on amusedly.  I don’t know if she is an admin or a temp or an assistant or friend or Congressperson — you get to decide who she is, if you wish to define her.  That’s how the whole caption contest works — it’s up to you to explain what is going on here.  So think of something funny — and it can be politically-based — but keep it clean.

caption contest, Obama trying to be cool

I usually don’t involve politics in the weekly caption contest, but with all that’s going on this week (i.e., national health care), I figured it’s a good time.  So this week’s photo features President Barack Obama in a room full of people, and he’s giving a fist-bump to some other guy.  Obviously Obama is agreeing with that guy, or at least trying to act cool, and the other people in the room appear to have mixed emotions about whatever is going on.  It’s your job to write the caption for this picture.

The only rules are that you keep your comments clean, and make an attempt to be funny.  I expect some of you will want to make a political rant about the new health care bill, and that’s fine, as long as you try to make it funny.   This is a humor blog, not a political discussion forum.

Obama’s first 100 days

The major news networks are making it big news that President Barack Obama has completed his first 100 days in office.  But what’s the big deal?  Haven’t all presidents completed their first 100 days?  🙂
