Today there is a need for some humor, with it being election day in the U.S. This is a scary election, with millions of people voting for which presidential candidate seems least likely to destroy democracy. (I still can’t get over the fact that out of all the great people here, Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the ones we get to choose from. But I digress…) Anyway, here’s some politics-related pictures that hopefully you might find funny or humorous.

That subject could go a couple of ways, and I will take both paths in one post… or at least try and see what happens. First, there’s already randomness and humor on Facebook. People post some crazy things, displaying their ignorance / stupidity for all their friends to see. Case in point:
For the second direction, consider this an announcement that Buffet o’ Blog is joining the Facebook. Now you can like / follow Buffet o’ Blog via your personal Facebook account.
This will increase our virtual community of people who enjoy clean humor, funny stuff, and randomness. The more, the merrier, as they say — which will especially apply to the caption contests and free-for-all stories.
This will also make it easier to share posts with friends. We’d appreciate the referral, and surely you know people who either like this kind of humor already or who need more humor in their life.
So thank you for your support, and we’ll continue to publish funny stuff you’ve never seen or thought of before. 🙂
What are people going to do? Miley Cyrus (who plays Hannah Montana) deleted her Twitter account, so her 1.1 million followers now have a void in their lives. (The only reason I know this is because it was mentioned in the news — and why it was considered news, I have no idea.)
The main reason I mention this is for a segue into the announcement that Buffet o’ Blog posts will automatically be sent to my Twitter account now. Well, not the whole post obviously, but the title and a link. So if any of you prefer to “follow” people on Twitter instead of e-mail or RSS feeds, you can do so now. To any first-time guests reading this, you’re welcome to subscribe too. I’m not too similar to Miley Cyrus, but this blog produces good, clean humor, full of randomness. Feel free to look around the blog to see what it’s like. There’s something for everyone.
And by the way, concerning my updates on Twitter and my Facebook status, let me say this once and for all — every day I wake up, eat, do certain normal stuff, and go to bed. So I won’t be updating my status telling you these useless things that no one cares about. It’s just not necessary, and it’s a waste of time for all who see it. I’m not on a 24/7 reality TV show (nor will I ever be), and if you really want to follow me or anyone else that closely, you should just get your own life instead of watching other people live theirs.
Okay, there, my rant on statuses is complete (for now). I’m not against updating statuses, but ideally they would have something good to say. But I’m not going to keep going on that, because that rant is over.
There’s a lot of people using Twitter these days, even professional athletes. Apparently some athletes update their status during games or to discuss issues with their team, and this is causing a big stink among NFL officials and team coaches.
For example, Antonio Cromartie, cornerback for the San Diego Chargers, was just fined $2,500 for using Twitter to gripe about “nasty food” that might have kept them from making it to the Super Bowl. Chad Ocho Cinco has already been warned about Tweeting during games, and he says he’s going to anyway.
Here at Buffet o’ Blog, we have a much more relaxed policy on such issues, in that there’s no fine for updating your Twitter or Facebook statuses while using this site. Actually, we encourage it — tell your followers on Twitter and Facebook about the funny posts you find. Invite them to participate in the caption contests. The more, the merrier.
On this topic, I’ve gotta give big props to the Aflac Duck page on Facebook for a link here recently, which brought in a lot of traffic this past weekend. We appreciate the link.
And remember, by telling your friends to check out Buffet o’ Blog, not only are you making them happier, but you’re making us happier, and you’re making the world a better place. And that should make you happier, too! See how simple that is? It’s a win-win-win-win situation! 🙂
