videos of unusual beatboxing

Today I’m going to link to a few videos I found amusing.  All three are musical, yet not what you’re used to.  Enjoy…

Someone manufactured a video of former President George W. Bush to make it look and sound like he was beatboxing on the mic.  Neat stuff…

On the topic of beatboxing, there’s a guy named Greg Patillo who plays some famous songs on flute while simultaneously beatboxing.  Here’s him doing the Super Mario Bros theme.

There’s another flute player who simultaneously beatboxes. Here’s Nathan “Flutebox” Lee, playing a song I don’t know, but then going into the Knight Rider theme song.

Both of the guys beatboxing on the flute have other videos on YouTube, if you want more.

caption contest, superhero with phone car

It may be late on Monday, but you will get your weekly caption contest!   (Well, technically, there’s no guarantee, but I’ll at least make an effort.)   🙂  That said, here ya go.

This week’s photo is of a man in a superhero-type costume who is standing next to a car shaped like a giant phone.  I have no idea of the actual context of this picture, but that’s no matter — we will make up something.   I suspect there will be a lot of ideas for this one, including some puns (which may be unfortunate, depending on your preferences).  So let’s get to it!

the fun work atmosphere at Google

What is cubicle life like working at Google?  Apparently not too bad.  Check out this photo gallery for an idea of how it’s very different from your normal tech company.

It says they get three free gourmet meals per day.  And they have pool tables, swimming pools, and you can even get massages.  I’m thinking they should open an office in Arkansas…  🙂

If Buffet o’ Blog ever has corporate offices, it would be like that, but even better!  We’d have unlimited sweet tea for employees, fun breakout sessions for generating new humor and research ideas, ample breaks, Bacon Mondays (where people bring a bacon dish to share with everyone, to make the day better), and extra compensation would be based on creating new, original humor.  (It sounds strange to pay people more for being funny, but that’s what we do here — generate humor.   It’s a great job — well, if only it paid enough for me to be full-time!)

flash game — Stunt Pilot 2

I wasn’t out looking for new flash games, but I recently came across a link to one that sounded cool, and it’s fun.  It’s called Stunt Pilot 2, and you have to pilot a plane through various stunt courses.   There are bonuses, and sometimes the environment changes on you.  The graphics are pretty sharp for a flash game, too.  And while the flying is fun and challenging, the best part are the crashes.  There’s even a “destruction bonus” if you crash in a big way.  🙂  And sometimes the people on the ground react to your crashes and destruction, which can be interesting.

There is also the element of achieving a high score, with various methods for achieving high scores.
