caption contest, papers on ground everywhere

It’s time for another caption contest.  Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days, but with it being the Fourth of July holiday weekend, there was an abundance of food, fireworks, fun, and fellowship.   (The Fourth was brought to you by the letter “F”.)  Now that the extended weekend has ended, things return to normal.  Monday may not be an exciting day, but that’s why we have the caption contest on Monday — to make it better.   All that said, let’s get to it.

This week’s photo features a small town street covered with papers.  What might be going on here?

The local residents had been attempting to break the world record for the largest stack of papers, when a tornado came through. Morale was never the same again…

If you’re going to leave a paper trail (a la the Riddler), you might as well make it challenging…

Guy walking: “By the time the detectives decipher the clues left on all these papers, I’ll be able to get to any secret hideout I want — even by walking!”

Extra! Extra! local animal fur manufacturer PIMP MY COAT was surrounded today by thousands of members OF PETA (fresh off their previous campaign: I’D-RATHER-GO-NAKED-THAN-WEAR-FUR) to protest the charity factory’s use of mice fur to patch up old clothing worn by the homeless.

Many protestors were heard shouting, “I’D RATHER LITTER THAN HARM A LITTER!”
