caption contest, Barack Obama

Let’s have another caption contest!  Since the Democratic Convention was last week, I’ll use a political-themed picture.   This is of Presidential hopeful Barack Obama (just in case you didn’t know, like if you live under rocks or somethin’).  It’s up to you to decide what he’s talking about or to provide analysis or commentary.   You can make your comment be about anything (just follow the language rules here).

caption contest, synchronized swimming

Are you ready for another caption contest?  (You’d better be!)  The past two weeks I’ve been using Olympic-themed pictures, and even though the Beijing Olympics have finished, I’m going to continue that trend.  Although, this one is quite a stretch to picture in the Olympics.  There is synchronized swimming, but this is not quite what it normally looks like.  But write whatever you want about it, whether Olympics-themed or not.  And have fun!

caption contest, extreme badminton

It’s time for another caption contest!  I’m going to go with another sports-themed picture this time, because of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.  This time I’m using a photo from a sport that’s actually played in the Olympics (unlike last time), although this image is not from one of the Olympic tournaments.  Nonetheless, good times can be had by creating your own unique brand of commentary or captions, for all the world to enjoy.

caption contest, John McCain and John Kerry

It’s time for another caption contest!  Same rules as always: write a caption for this photo, from whatever point of view you’d like.  Just remember to follow the language rules here.

Here’s some background on these two together, if you’re interested.  Of course, John McCain is the 2008 Republican Presidential candidate, and John Kerry was the 2004 Democratic Presidential candidate.  McCain also tried to run in 2000 but lost to George W. Bush.  In 2004, Kerry tried to get McCain to be his vice-president, while also offering him Secretary of Defense and other titles.  But McCain refused the offer, because he believed Bush to be the better candidate (even though he didn’t like Bush much).
