I forgot to mention that I went to Toad Suck Daze recently. I've been a few times before, but this time I tried gator on a stick. (At this town festival, you can get about any food on a stick.) And you'll never guess what the gator tasted like… okay, so you probably will — it tasted like chicken. 🙂 It was a little bit different, but strangely similar. (BTW, not all non-domesticated animals taste like chicken — deer doesn't, neither does coon, nor squirrel, or lamb.)
Anyway, this got me to thinking — what's the strangest animal you've eaten?
Dumb Blonde
I’ve never had wild lamb.

One time I ate a hamburger that came from a cow that just days earlier I had seen out in someone’s pasture. The cow was wearing a grass skirt, dancing a hula on its back feet, and flinging poop with its front feet while shouting insults at the other cows because they were walking on all four legs. I would have to say that was by far the strangest animal I’ve ever eaten.

I’ve never had it but i’ve always wanted to try Chihuahua…
okay not really… I’ve not tried to many ‘strange’ foods… some ‘non-typical’ i’ve had is gator, buffalo, squirrel, rabbit, sheep/goat, & of course deer…
i’ve heard that horse is supposed to be good… my brother-in-law has had skunk, coon & many other woodland creatures not normally considered to be ‘dinner’ fare…

One time I was at a Mexican restaurant and they had chihuahua on the menu. Maybe something got lost in translation, because to me that says “dog”. And I have no interest in eating dog.
