I was going to write something funny today, but it didn't happen. Why not? Well, it's really none of your business. Do you think this is all about you? Is there such a humor deficiency in your life that you are "missing out" if I don't post something funny today? Okay, hold up. I'm not trying to be harsh here. I want you to enjoy your experience here at Buffet o' Blog . I want everyone to laugh a little more each day. I have only good intentions here. That said, it's one of the other guys' fault. There's 3 of us here, and I'm stuck carrying the load most days. Not that I mind. But I have other humor-deficient mouths to feed, so to speak, so I must spread the laughter around. Y'know what I'm sayin'? No? I agree, that analogy doesn't make much sense. And it wasn't funny either. Perhaps that's why I'm not posting something funny today… I mean, would you want me to write something that's not funny? And would you want me to just keep drawing it out, rambling on and on and on, all while you feel dumber for reading it? Of course not! I wouldn't do that to you!
And so I'm not writing anything today… 🙂

uhh… can I have the last 30 seconds of my life back? It’s true… I feel dumber for reading it… but at least you weren’t trying to be funny… cause you weren’t… unless of course you were trying to be funny by not being funny… cause you weren’t… unless you meant it to be, and by failing to do so ‘that’ could be funny… I guess I could sum up this post by saying that i’m ‘laughing AT you ,& not WITH you…’ yep.. .that says it all… better luck next time humor-deficient boy… speaking of which… that would make one funny (non-funny) super-hero… a character that’s humor deficient, & by not being funny he’s funny… I may have to post on that… 🙂

There has been a famous character who had no sense of humor : Yosemite Sam, from Looney Tunes. And that made him hilarious (with the appropriate nemesis : Bugs Bunny). Check out what someone once said about him :
Whether playing a buccaneer, Arabian knight or the roughest, toughest, meanest, old prospector west of the Pecos, Yosemite Sam’s slapstick physical humor always sets his audiences laughing. This rootin’, tootin’, six gun shootin’, varmit-huntin’ wild man of the west believes in his own innate superiority and charges his way into one misadventure after another — and as loudly as possible. The only thing shorter than the fuse on his temper is Yosemite Sam himself and this walking keg of dynamite is always ready for action. From his ten gallon hat to his fire red mustache, Yosemite Sam is the most flamboyant of all Bugs Bunny’s adversaries. But the funniest thing about Yosemite Sam is that he has absolutely no sense of humor which makes him the perfect foil, or fool, for Bugs Bunny.

The “inspiration” (if I can call it that) for that post came from a meeting earlier. Everyone on the team rushed back from lunch for this 1:00 meeting, then we sat in there for 12 minutes, until it was cancelled because the host forgot about it. Shortly thereafter we received an e-mail entitled “today’s meeting that didn’t happen”.
Aren’t you glad you know that? Do you feel even dumber now? 🙂
