caption contest, protesters offering flowers to riot police

I’m finally getting the caption contest restarted.  Having a newborn around the house can wreck havoc on your schedule.  🙂

For those of you who are new subscribers, welcome, and you are welcome to participate in the caption contest.  (We also welcome the first-time guests.)  All you have to do is write something funny about the picture.  It’s that simple.  The only rule is to keep it clean.

This week’s photo features some type of protest, or so it appears — it can be any context you want to think up.  One of the guys is offering a peace flower to a policeman in full riot gear.  You can write from anyone’s perspective, even as an outsider or as yourself.  And if you don’t subscribe to the comments already, it’s good to subscribe to them at least on the caption contests, because that’s when they get really fun.

caption contest, ready, focus, shoot

Sorry for the shortage of posts last week — I was out of town a few days, plus I had stuff to do.   🙂  How about we kick this week off with a caption contest?

This week’s caption contest features a photo involving photographers, snipers / sharpshooters, reporting, and video.  I just don’t know what’s going on. So it’s up to you to explain what’s going on.  To give you some ideas, you can write about what these people are looking at, or you can write about the people in the picture.  You can write whatever you want — just make it funny and keep it clean.

caption contest, cat surrounded by paparazzi

How about another caption contest?   Sounds good to me.  This week’s photo features a cat having its picture taken by a paparazzi of photographers, or at least that’s what it looks like.  As usual, there is no actual context provided, so it’s up to you to make up a story (or a joke) about what’s going on.  We’d like it if you’d share your caption with the rest of us, by leaving a comment.   And you can add as many as you’d like.  Have fun with it.

stop-motion video of a wolf chasing a pig

Here’s a really neat video I came across.  (And for those of you questioning my choices of YouTube videos to promote here, this is not one of those so-bad-it’s-funny videos.)  This video was made with lots of pictures, and pictures of pictures — 1300 pictures, actually.  This stop-motion video displays a lot of creativity and originality, and it’s obvious they put a lot of thought and effort and time into it.  If you enjoy photography and/or making videos, you’ll really appreciate it.  But I think anyone might like it, too, which is why it’s here.

The video is about a man in a wolf costume chasing a pig.  Yeah, it’s random, which goes with the theme of this site.
