Since the last post talked about wanting a flamethrower, it seems appropriate that this week’s caption contest should involve FIRE!  So here’s a picture of a couple posing for a picture in front of a burning barn.  Why?  I have no idea.  That’s up to you.  Figure out what’s going on, or what will happen, or what people are thinking, and leave a comment about it.  Have fun with it.

It seems like we just had a caption contest, but it’s already (past) time for the next one.  This week’s strange and unusual photo features a sumo wrestler riding a race horse.  I thought jockeys were usually midgets, but I suppose anyone can do it if they try hard enough.

Anyway, explain what’s going on here, such as why this is happening, what the other riders are thinking, what the horse is thinking, what the announcers might be saying, what happens next, etc.  The only restrictions are to keep it clean and funny.

This week’s caption contest features a bicycle rider kicking someone in the crowd.  Well, that’s what it appears like.  He could be doing a number of other things.  It’s up to you to decide what is going on here.  So get creative — whether with a joke, a pun (if you must), a funny story, whatever.  Remember you can write from anyone’s point-of-view.  Just keep it clean and funny — that’s the only rules.  Have fun!

I know it’s inconceivable that our weekly caption contest could be late, but there was a holiday, and I had company, and I had stuff to do…  (I could give more excuses if you want, but then this might be even later, and then it would be your fault that it’s late, and it’s not like I need more excuses.)

Anyway, here it is.  The photo features a person wearing lots of makeup.  No context is given, so you get to make it up.  There’s also not much going on, so you might have to provide a backstory or flashback or exposition.  Here’s some potential ideas: Is it war paint?  Is it a gang sign?  Is it some new, trendy style of makeup?  Is it someone you know?  Was it a prank?  What will happen next?
