dancing to Mii music on Wii

The music on the Mii channel on the Nintendo Wii has an unusual groove to it, and apparently it prompts some people to dance.  In the following video, the instructor of a recent Boogiezone University workshop danced to it for his students.

It’s too bad the Miis (characters / avatars) on the Wii don’t dance to it.  However, in Wii Fit you can see your Miis dancing (and you get to dance along, too), albeit it’s more of a step up / step down routine, but you can creatively add to it.

BTW, who knew there was a Boogiezone University?  Can you get a degree in getting your groove on?  I’m glad I didn’t have to take a dance class in college, or I might’ve lost my scholarships…

Hans Solo as Magnum P.I.

Do you remember the Magnum P.I. TV show?  Someone made a version of it featuring Hans Solo as Magnum P.I., and it also includes Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker.  Whoever did this put a lot of time into it.  Just watching it by itself, it’s neat, but you don’t realize just how good it is until you compare it to the original.  That’s why I’m including three versions of it, and you can watch them in whatever order you want.  The third video is a side-by-side comparison of them both, which reveals just how much attention the creator paid to detail.

I’m not sure what prompted someone to spend that much time to make the parody so similar to the original, but it’s kinda cool, in a nerdy sort of way.  🙂

free beats, in a live, spontaneous setting

It’s good to see someone promoting the arts in a free and creative way.  This guy provides free beats (via beatboxing) to anyone who would like to sing, rap, read poetry, or dance along.  This was done in New York City, where there is a large diversity of art and culture.  The results are interesting.

neat Star Wars themed commercials

Here’s a crossover commercial featuring Colonel Sanders from KFC, the Pizza Hut girl, and the Chihuahua from Taco Bell as they team up to battle the evil droids from Star Wars.  Can you imagine Colonel Sanders with a lightsaber?  And the three of those people battling an army?  It’s all in the video.

Would you play Darth Vader in a round of golf for money?  It seems like a bad idea.  But these guys tried it, and, well, you can see what happens.  There are several other Star Wars related commercials for Spike TV in this video.

There is much to be learned…
