As I was watching SportsCenter earlier, there was talk of the upcoming golf tournament The Masters, so I thought maybe a golf picture would be good for this week’s caption contest.   But I don’t have one that would be open to many captions, plus we’ve done that before.   So how about a photo of a golf cart… ON FIRE!

This picture really needs an explanation.   There is a stack of chairs, a fire extinguisher, and a golf cart on fire, yet no one is around.  Something unusual happened here, but I don’t know what.  So figure out what could’ve happened… in a funny way, of course.

It’s Monday so you’ll get your regularly scheduled caption contest, even though it’s a holiday and I just returned from vacation tonight.  (Yes, that shows my dedication to humor, and no, it does not mean I don’t have a life.)

This week’s caption contest features a picture of a truck in a tree (or in-between two trees).  Either way, it’s in a location it should not be in.  It’s up to you to describe why this happened, or to make a joke about it.  (Actually, if you want to challenge yourself, you could try to explain why the truck should be in the tree.)  Remember that you can look at the situation from various perspectives, such as the truck’s owner, his friends, the trees, the insurance company, or anyone else that you can fit into the story.  Surprise me with your creativity!

How about another caption contest?   Sounds good to me.  This week’s photo features a cat having its picture taken by a paparazzi of photographers, or at least that’s what it looks like.  As usual, there is no actual context provided, so it’s up to you to make up a story (or a joke) about what’s going on.  We’d like it if you’d share your caption with the rest of us, by leaving a comment.   And you can add as many as you’d like.  Have fun with it.

It’s Monday again, so you’re probably expecting another caption contest.  And I’m happy to oblige.  But I am curious about the lack of typical Monday traffic.  There were about 60-70 percent fewer pageviews today.  I know, it was Labor Day, so people were busy not laboring.  I’m going to suppose the traffic was down because people were busy relaxing or grilling or out on vacation, that it’s not because people mainly check it from work.  🙂  But either way, I’m thankful for the traffic, so I’ll quit rambling about that now.

This week’s photo features a group of adults riding tricycles.  I really have no idea what’s going on here.   But who needs context?  We don’t for this, because we get to write our own!   It’s up to you, my awesome readers, to write a funny explanation for this picture.  As always, you get to choose your own context, perspective, setting, etc.  You can write dialog for the people in the picture, or you can write commentary / analysis of what’s going on.  The only general guidelines are to make it funny and keep it clean.
