Another week, another caption contest. This week’s photo features an older guy watching what looks like professional cleaners or a HAZMAT team or scientists. These guys have masks and air tanks, so it looks serious. Yet the older man doesn’t appear concerned. So who knows what’s going on? It’s up to you to write the story behind this picture. Remember, you can frame the context however you want, so the sky’s the limit. Have fun!

It may be late this week, but our weekly caption contest is finally here. The photo this time features elected officials / lawmakers / politicians in a meeting, but some are playing Solitaire on their laptops while someone else speaks. This actually happened a while back in Connecticut and it was Democrats goofing off, but for the sake of the caption contest, they can be whoever you want.
FYI, the point of this is for you to write something funny to explain this picture. Feel free to get your political rant on, whether about the near government shutdown over budget issues or the current issue of the day, but phrase your response in the form of humor. That is, make it funny, whether using satire or irony or puns or whatever.

It’s nice to get feedback from the regular readers, to know what we’re doing right and what could be better. Well, just the other day, Mango-Man suggested we post more funny videos, maybe even making it a recurring theme like our caption contests. That’s not a bad idea. We’ve linked to some great videos before, like Tunak Tunak Tun and Shingo Mama no Oha Rock! (which someone claimed as the best YouTube video) and part of a movie featuring Superman and a female Spiderman working together. All classic stuff…
So here’s another funny video. Normally I would explain it first, but this one is better if you watch it first. It’s only 2:41 long, so go ahead and watch it, and then we can discuss it afterward.
Did you watch it yet? You’ll enjoy it more if you watch it before knowing what it is. 🙂
If you don’t know, that is the infamous Toilet Stool Rap (T.S.R.) by the one and only Biz Markie. Yeah, it’s a rap about having to poop, along with writing rhymes while on the can. They don’t make rap like this anymore…
Here at Buffet o’ Blog, we’ve had a number of Buffet o’ Bacon nights, where we create original bacon dishes. These have been wildly popular, and many people have desired to participate. (We have talked of having one open to the public, so hang in there.) (FYI, if you aren’t familiar with these outings, they are all documented on this blog. The search box is at the top right of the sidebar.)
Our bacon creations have been great for the most part, although there was the gut-bomb incident… Since then, we have decided to draw the line on some things. Call that philosophy what you will, but we don’t want to die today. If someone wanted to reject all sense of healthiness and longevity of life, it’s not that hard to do — just add bacon to everything and let the bacon grease cook into all the other ingredients. Of course, people have done this. We have written on the bacon explosion before, which is over-the-top in how fattening it is (and probably in how good it would taste). But some people have to keep taking things farther.
The following video is by a group called Epic Meal Time, and they do create epic meals (as well as slick video productions). Just so you know what you’re getting into, the TurBaconEpic they invented uses 10 packages of bacon and six (6) pounds of butter, as well as a whole pig. They keep a running total on calories and fat grams, and it will blow your mind. This is the most fattening meal I have ever heard of. All in all, their meal had 79,046 calories and 6,892g of fat. Just try to consider that in context with your daily recommended allowance…
All that said, here’s the video. Are you ready?
I wish they would keep their episodes free from crude language. So watch more of their episodes at your own risk.
I’m including this post in the Food Critic series. It’s not a picture, but you can comment on the food creation from the video.
