It’s late on Monday night, but I didn’t forget about the caption contest.  Don’t lose heart!  This week, we have an interesting picture of a soccer / football player standing in the midst of his opponents, who are on the ground for some unknown reason.  I’m confident that some of you will figure out what might be going on here.

So how does this work?  You (and I’m talking to you) write a comment with a funny explanation or humorous analysis of the situation.  It’s that simple.  Here’s the photo:

Here’s this week’s caption contest.  This one involves food — big pizzas with lots of meat.  One of the guys in the picture looks like Adam Richman of Man vs Food, but I’m not for sure, because I haven’t seen this in an episode yet.  It looks like they’re in Chicago, where there is much awesome pizza to be found.  (Oh, how I long to return to Chicago for some of their famous deep-dish pizza!)  But back to the point, regardless of who it is, write what may be going on here in this photo.

I’m not one to get stuck on tradition, but having a new caption contest every Monday seems like a good plan.  So here goes.

Explain what’s going on in this picture.  Remember, any type of humor is appreciated (as long as it’s clean).  You can make puns, one-liners, jokes, irony, satire, tie-ins with current news, or science-fiction.  You can even create a short story that ties in with this picture.   (Just remember that a picture is worth only a thousands words — no more.)  🙂  Basically, what I’m saying is, take the box walls down and let your thoughts roam, to see what you can come up with.

Another Monday, another caption contest.  This week, I’m featuring another basketball photo.  This is of Boston Celtics player Rajon Rondo, where something went wrong during the game and he lost his shoe and ended up on the floor.  Figure out what might’ve happened here, and let us know in a comment.  (Of course, just about any explanation is acceptable, no matter how far-fetched.  Remember, the goal here is to be funny.)
