caption contest, Darth Vader and Ronald McDonald

This week our caption contest features two famous celebrities — Darth Vader and Ronald McDonald.  Why are they together?  That’s a good question.  Hopefully you can think up some good answers.  🙂  Of course, even if you don’t contribute a funny answer, you can read what others have come up with.

caption contest, guy in weird helmet

After an extended hiatus, let’s get things back to normal by restarting the weekly caption contest.  This week’s photo has a man wearing a weird-looking helmet with several military officers looking on.  I really have no idea what’s going on here.  Is it some secret government research?  Is it a prank or joke?  Is it bad fashion?  It’s up to you.

caption contest, karate training fail

So much busyness these days, hence the lack of posts lately.  But when times are busy and more stressful, humor is needed all the more.  So I’ll make time for this week’s caption contest.

This episode features two men attempting some kind of karate training or exercise.  Maybe one is the master and the other is the grasshopper.  It’s all up to you to iron that out.  So think of something funny to go with this picture.  It could be from one of the guys, or an outside observation, or you could create a story to go with it.

caption contest, train wreck through building

There wasn’t a caption contest last week because of Thanksgiving and my busyness, but this week things are back to normal.  So let’s kick it off with a bang… or, rather, a crash.

This week’s photo features a train wreck.  But this isn’t some normal derailment — this train went through a building.  And the tracks aren’t even in the picture!  So something extraordinary happened here.  It’s up to you to write a story or joke to go with this.  Here’s some starting points to help you think of something: Why did this happen?  How could this have happened?  Who was involved?  What do the owners of the building think?  What about the people watching?  Or the cleanup crew?  Remember, you can embellish the story however you want, or even just make it all up.  The goal is to be funny, not necessarily realistic.  Have fun with it.  Let your mind wander.
