Most of the caption contests here use pictures loaded with randomness, but this week I’m going to use a political photo, so we can try to make some political humor.  This photo is of President Barack Obama relaxing, while his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is on the phone.  I have no idea what the actual context of this picture is, but who needs context?  We get to make it up, which is what makes it fun!

Just remember to keep the comments funny and clean.  You can make political statements, but make them funny (whether laugh-out-loud or satire or irony).  This isn’t the place for serious long-winded rants about why your preferred political party is great and/or the other party siphons.  (Comments violating this rule may be deleted, per the site’s rules.)   Of course you can reference current political events, or you can make up any context you want.  Have fun with it!

It’s that time of the week again — time for another caption contest!  This week’s photo is action-packed, featuring a car jumping over the edge, and it’s ON FIRE!  Surely there’s an interesting story behind this picture.  It’s up to you to figure it out.

Wouldn’t you know it?   It’s time for another caption contest!   This week’s photo features a big rock with some people in what appears to be a dangerous position.   So you can write about what could happen or what already happened.  And of course you can make your caption from the point-of-view of anyone in the picture or of someone watching it.  Really, you can put about anything you want, as long as it’s relevant to the picture and it’s funny.

Are you ready for this week’s caption contest?  I know some of you are, because I actually got e-mail letting me know there wasn’t one posted on-time.   (It’s nice to be missed!)  The reason for the delay is because of an electrical malfunction at the Buffet o’ Blog headquarters, preventing me access to my computer and the Internet for a few days.  Now that it’s resolved, things can return to normal (or a reasonable approximation thereof).

Since this week’s caption contest is late, here’s an extra special photo.  And by special, I mean “lots of humor potential”.  It’s a sumo wrestler, performing some sort of introductory dance.  Let the humor begin!

FYI, some sites may frown upon “potty humor”, where you reference passing gas and such.  Let it be known that your humor is welcome here.   🙂
