breakfast advice by the Important Doctor

Yesterday my breakfast left me hungry, and I wasn’t sure what to do, so I e-mailed the “Important Doctor” who frequents this blog :

Dear Important Doctor,

My breakfast today consisted of a light-n-fit strawberry-banana yogurt cup, which had only 40 calories and 0g fat.  Is this sufficient for breakfast?

P.S. I noticed some Hostess Ding Dongs in the vending machine… would they be a viable supplement?

He quickly replied and said :

HURRY… before you faint… PER “important” Doctor’s orders… go & eat a Hostess Ding Dong immediately… You need to partake of multiple trans-fats post haste… thereby decreasing the viscosity in your veins… This “gets the blood flowing better” and starts your morning off right…

Well, I didn’t then, but today I didn’t have time for any breakfast, so I visited the vending machine to get a package of Hostess Ding Dongs.  They sure are good!  Chocolate filled with creamy white goodness.

I have to agree with Thomas Wayne that the “Important Doctor” is probably a big fraud.  (And if he’s on that bacon & cheese “diet” he talks of, he probably is very big.)  Nonetheless, I ate one of those Hostess Ding Dongs, and they sure are good!

    I am NOT a fraud… as pertaining to your ‘breakfast’ scenario. Not only does all the fat reduce the viscosity in your veins, but it’s a well known fact that the human body has to convert everything ingested into sugar before it can be used. By eating something sugary sweet (yet good and fatty) you save your body the arduous task of having to convert food to sugar, but you give the body a ‘ready supply’ of sugars, thereby ‘jumpstarting’ your morning routine. This Leaves you feeling refreshed, energized and invigorated. If you eat of the widely proclaimed sugar-free ‘health’ food… your body then has to ‘work hard’ to convert it. this process not only takes time, but can leave your body in a state of exhaustion… you will feel tired, groggy, and grumpy… not exactly the best way to start your morning.
    Have you ever observed a child after they ‘ate too much sugar’? They are wildly excitable, bursting with energy, and always wearing a smile!!! I say we learn from our children… Eat more sugar & fats for breakfast!!!

    I hate to admit it, but the advice by Important Doctor actually makes sense this time. But if you’re right, why doesn’t anyone else say this? Why do 99% of doctors and health experts say to eat fruits instead of sweets? Explain that…

    In the extensive research(*) that I have done… the finger points back to the financially driven farmer. Think about it, it’s just not ‘cost effective’ for them to have fields lying dormant and not producing crops. So they are willing to spend big money to propagate the belief that we ‘need’ their product. In many ways this is like the ‘big oil’ companies… they don’t want us looking to other more cost effective methods of making fuel… why? simple they could potentially lose billions. So to re-iterate… it’s the farmers! who do you think came up with the whole food pyramid thing anyway? the doctors? HA! (click here to see pyramid) is it a ‘coincidence’ that the majority of the pyramid is grains, fruits, & vegetables?
    I think NOT!
    * I did no research
