I think the label "non-flammable" constitutes a challenge…

I agree… it DOES indeed sound like a challenge… & on the same vein of thought is ‘unbreakable’ dishes… WANNA BET! 🙂
I’ve yet to find dishes that wont shatter if you smash it hard enough with a hammer… granted… sometime you may have to pull out the 12lb sledge…but it’ll break!
I think i’m gonna buy some of that ‘unbreakable stuff’ with a life-time warranty… smash it then keep sending it back & see how long it takes them to catch on…
