After yesterday’s post on bacon pancakes, some of the staff here at Buffet o’ Blog were discussing new uses of bacon, and we wondered why we never hear anything about a bacon chili… Surely that would be good! (FYI, I’m not talking about chili where bacon is the only meat… I mean in addition to the normal quantities of beef, steak, or venison you would use.)
I think some research is in order (and I’m not talking about using Google — I want to try it myself). We need to have a taste test competition, where we all make our own chili, but you have to include bacon.
Has anybody out there ever had chili with bacon in it?

Perhaps will all these bacon ideas, we should start up our own chain of bacon stores that has bacon in it no matter what you order. We could call it “Buffet O’ Bacon.” Not sure where I came up with that name…
Think of it: Bacon Burritos, Bacon and Jelly Sammiches, Bacon and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream… the possibilities are endless.

I think you’re on to something there, Kri’. A bacon-themed restaurant would surely do well! And you’ve already come up with the perfect name!
You could have every dish come with bacon, and you could hardly go wrong with that plan, but perhaps an even better idea would be to have a literal buffet of bacon, where users can put however much bacon they want on their food. You could also have a cheese dip dispenser there with it. I would certainly go to this restaurant often! (Well, as long as I live…)
